Internet and internet services
Article by Furnandosucre
Can you think of your flight tickets booked in heavy snowfall in just few seconds without internet? Can you think of attending lecture of faculty of Harvard University sitting in Australia? No, all these things are not possible without internet; internet has made things simple and done in fraction of second. The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies.
The Internet allows greater flexibility in working hours and location, especially with the spread of unmetered high-speed connections. The broadband service can be accessed almost anywhere by numerous means, including through mobile internet service. Mobile phones, data cards, handheld games consoles and cellular routers allow users to connect to the Internet wirelessly. Within the limitations imposed by small screens and other limited facilities of such pocket-sized devices, the services of the Internet, including email and the web, may be available. Internet Service providers may restrict the services offered and mobile data charges may be significantly higher than other access methods.
Internet can be used for seeking information, communication and for data transfer. The Internet allows computer users to remotely access other computers and information stores easily, wherever they may be. They may do this with or without computer security, i.e. authentication and encryption technologies, depending on the requirements. This is encouraging new ways of working from home, collaboration and information sharing in many industries. Common methods of internet access in homes include dial-up, landline broadband, and Wi-Fi, satellite and 3G/4G technology cell phones. Public places to use the Internet include libraries and internet cafes, where computers with Internet connections are available. The internet providers offer various schemes to the users so that the clients do not go anywhere and avail their service only. One internet provider provides all types of services so that the customer can get everything at one place from broadband to mobile internet. Even some of them give comparison facility to its users so that they can show how better they are from others. So while selecting any plan, keep everything in mind so that one can get the best for the money spend.
