The quality of video games today is extraordinary, with mind boggling story-lines, superb graphics and excellent soundtracks, on the market today the three big boys are Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii, but an advantage that the PS3 has, is that it doubles up as a Blu-Ray player and will play Blu-Ray discs, after its release in 2006 this console has sold more than 40 million units worldwide.

A gaming console out on the market is currently all the rage with children and adults. Instead of sitting down playing games, the Nintendo Wii console encourages its players to get up and move! There are many benefits to owning a Wii including all the games for it.

A remote like controller is how people interact with the Wii console. It acts as a sensor while you move about controlling your game character. The controller works just like a television remote and is handled only by one hand. This is much different than the two handed controllers normally put out with traditional gaming consoles.

I will be reviewing three of the top game consoles today namely, Sony Playstation, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii. I personally prefer Nintendo Wii, because of its motion-sensing capability, but my choice doesn’t necessarily be yours.

Nintendo Wii is the first-ever game console that introduces the motion-sensing controllers. These are wireless controllers that tracks the movements of the players, while converting them to in-game character movements in real-time. Considered as the best game console for the whole family, Nintendo allows the players to participate in the game physically. Another cool feature the Wii offers is the Wii Connect 24 that allows the players to connect to the Internet, and even compete with other Wii players.

At first glance, the slim Playstation 3 is a huge improvement on the older, fatter, lighter model, the only downside so far I can see about the fact that it is lighter and thinner is the fact that I really don’t like standing the console up as I feel it will fall over. Ok, you can buy stands to do this job but after splashing out on a brand new games console, I really don’t want to then buy a stand. Surely Sony could have included a stand. On the plus side though, the fact that it is thinner means it fits easier into my TV cabinet and isn’t causing the shelf to sag with the weight.

Anyway, the new design looks much better than the original PS3 and now looks better than the Xbox 360 and doesn’t suffer from smearing fingerprints like the older model, but that’s not why I bought it. Yes, there are websites like urfreegifts.co.uk and freebieangel.com where you can get these consoles for free but if you want to pay for your PS3, here’s what you can expect for your money.

Can you recall the glory years when you enjoyed playing Sonic games on your Sega Genesis? Do you recall the fast hedgehog that was known as Sonic? If you do recall the fun and entertainment it brought you then I am sure it was one of your favourite games. The good thing is, Sonic is not only available on the old Genesis systems, the games are now available on a wide range of systems now which include Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the Nintendo Wii along with many other leading systems. Best of all however, you can even play Sonic games online on popular arcade game sites!

You may notice now that the newer Sonic games do not look identical to the way they use to look, now they are typically three dimensional and come packed with advance graphics awesome sound. The Sonic series is very affordable and in my opinion is worth every penny to purchase.
