Microsoft Xbox 360 (250Gb). A Slimmer, Faster Xbox

Despite tine millions of Xboxes sold, the 360 line has been plagued by the infamous red ring of death — a fatal design flaw that causes overheated Xbox 360 units to shut down and become inoperable. The Xbox 360 a name that has become common place in the world of gaming consoles.  A recent addition to the league of gaming consoles is the Xbox 360 Elite. This version of the Xbox 360 is the third and the most expensive member of the Xbox family. The other two, existing members of this family are the Xbox 360 Premium and the Xbox 360 Core.

If you are a hardcore Xbox gamer then you may want to consider getting one of the Xbox 360 Elite Systems. By purchasing an Elite Console you are not only purchasing a state of the art gaming machine, but you are also purchasing a home media center. With an Xbox 360 console you can play your favorite DVD’s right on your Xbox 360. Most people don’t realize that all you have to do is put a DVD into the Xbox the same way that you would put a game into your Xbox. After that, you just have to use your Xbox 360 controller to select how you want to watch the DVD.

Playstation 3 3d System Update

The PlayStation 3 certainly is the premier video game console that is 3D-ready. The Xbox 360 Elite does have 3d compatibility, but Microsoft is not planning to develop many video games that support 3-d graphics. The PS3 now has lots of 3d video game titles to choose from, and even more are expected to be sold in 2011. However, before you can begin playing 3-d video games (or watch 3d Blu-rays) on your Ps3, you may need to up-date your system firmware.

The 3d firmware updates to your Ps3 were introduced in 2010, so if you haven’t performed an update in a while, you should do one to confirm 3d compatibility. Normally, it is a good idea to test for updates every month or so. To perform the update, stick to these instructions:
